Virtual stress analysis
Our design engineers are well versed with the use of various CAD design systems, including
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) otherwise known as ‘virtual stress analysis’
FEA is a numerical technique for solving complex problems in engineering, acousitics, electronmagnetism, soil mechanics, fluid dynamics and others.
In mechanical engineering FEA is widely used for solving structural, vibration and thermal problems.
We use Solid Works to form the geometric model. To this model we assign material properties and define loads and restraints.
The image shown below accurately predicts the location and load points at which a bracket tested to destruction will fail.
